Mindful Momentum Launches Teen Mindfulness Resiliency Program Grant to Support Youth Mental Health

Kansas City, Missouri – Mindful Momentum, a leading organization committed to improving mental health, is pleased to announce the launch of its $250,000 Resilient Teen Grant. This grant is designed to support counselors, social workers, health teachers and others that aim to promote mental health and resilience among teenagers through mindfulness-based interventions.

According to the National Institute of Mental Health, approximately one in five teenagers in the United States experiences a mental health disorder. Depression and anxiety are among the most prevalent disorders affecting teens, and they can have a significant impact on their academic performance, social relationships, and overall well-being. The good news is that mindfulness practices have been shown to be effective in reducing stress and anxiety, improving emotional regulation, and promoting resilience.

“We are excited to launch this grant to support passionate people who regularly work with teens and are looking for impactful resources that will improve the mental health and well-being of teenagers,” said Mindful Momentum’s Owner and Founder, Robin Todd.

The Resilient Teen Grant is available to counselors, social workers, health teachers and others who interact with teenagers between the ages of 14 and 18. The grant will provide curriculums that support research-based mindfulness interventions that promote resilience, self-awareness, and emotional regulation.

Applications for the grant are now open and interested individuals can apply through the Mindful Momentum website. A nomination form can also be found on the website. The grant application period will close on April, 28th and awards will be announced mid-May.

“We encourage all those people who are committed to improving the mental health and well-being of teenagers to apply for this grant,” said Robin. “We believe that by working together, we can provide teenagers with the resources and support they need to navigate the challenges of adolescence and develop the skills they need to thrive now and in life.”
